Default Cobb AP stage 1 street results

this will probably get moved or closed, but just did a little testing on my way to work.
data from Motortrend.com

test subject: brand new Bmw 335i 1/4mile 13.7 traps 106mph

stock STi: 1/4mil 13.4 traps 100.6mph

(please notice the difference in trap speed)

so i was driving to work this morning, nicely, like a regular civilian, and it's Friday so traffic was quite light.

next thing you know, i was on the right most land trying to change to the middle when a i heard this very nice ferrari like exhaust, and a bmw 335i flying by like he was the shiznit.

since my morning caffeine wasn't working, i figure if i chase this guy it would wake me up. and it did.

(some minor notes: my windows were all the way down and his was all up. I followed him so i guess i had somewhat of a draft... he also had a good 1 second headstart accelerating)

Let's just say as I followed his beautiful exhaust note that I had no troubles keeping up, in fact, I felt like i was reeling him in a a little bit before we hit the brakes and chilled out. Overall the pull lasted a little bit into 5th gear.

Stock for Stock with his 106mph trap vs my lowly 100.6mph trap i wudda got walked big time. The AP did the job i think.

Vu, what's up yar! Ya man those 335's sound sick. So, I took your advice and bought the Cobb Accessport, definately made a difference, much smoother and fuel economy got a little better. Probably cause I have more power down low, don't need to rev it like before.

Not BADLY... just a nice smooth "walk away" up until we stopped at like 100-110

It was worst at first, then as top end increased the pulling became less and less drastic. Honestly, above 120MPH he probably would have started catching up again.

120mph he probably would have. i personally think they should be getting more than 300hp on an i6 bi-turbo

Perrin Stage 1 is incredible... I'm glad so many people took my advice, especially the ACN folks...

That's opposite of the story I sent you earlier. I got all the attention anyone could ever want from a stranger in a 335.
