Gotcha, it's what the military told them to do to perfect it I believe for their units.
Yes sitting next to each other the two rifles look vary similar. But if you ever get a chance to fire both back to back then you will know the diferance. the 107 dose not kick as hard. But some will say they feel the same.

This coming from someone who made people fall down at over 1200m.

What is this we can't say "Hath****"![/quote]

Wait I'm confused, were you a sniper yourself or are you referring to hath****?

Agreed, "Marine Sniper" is awsome! Didn't the original "Sniper" movie base some scenes from Sgt Hath****'s (for lack of a better term) "exploits"? Much respect for the late Sgt Hath****. "Enemy at the Gates" is a true classic.

Haha thats pretty badass an STi owner was a sniper. Is there any marksman training books you recommend? One that helps determine how to take a shot according to conditions.

Books? Well most of the books out there have there own thing. But the most of the knowlage you need to take the long shots is OJT (on the job training), and have a someone there teaching you. Just remember to relax and think about the shot. After 2-3000 rounds it all becomes instinct.

And to keep this on topic "Shooter" and "Enimy at the Gates" are by far the best Sniper movies out. "Jarhead" is the most acurate of all millitary movies, One of the reasions I left the Marine Corps.

Well I just mean books on shooting basics like zeroing your sights and stuff like that. I'm very interested in being a marksman but want knowledge beforehand on what to do.

I just finished reading marine sniper today and was very satisfied. Best book I've ever read. Has anyone read Silent Warrior which is the sequel to marine sniper I believe? and has anyone ever read Shooter: The autobiography of the Jack Coughlin top ranked sniper in Iraq?

For the "How to part" of snipers check out, "The Ultimate Sniper" by Maj. John Plaster. It's spendy, but VERY informative.
