Allright I figured out what was going on. It clearly is an m82/m107 which when I first watched it I thought it was but then when I watched it again was like wait, bolt action? Must be m95 or m99. Then I read this on a gun forum about the movie:

opening sequence when he shot down the chopper
if you recall he used a barret m-82 which is a semi-auto 50 cal so why did he have to **** it after each shot? because he was shooting blanks which do not generate enough pressure to cycle the action. so tell your friends marky mark shoots blanks!!

Thank God, this was killing me.

According to the Barrett link I provided, they are one in the same. The difference may be barrel length.

haha ive been on that website many times considering the m82/m107 is my favorite gun. I've read on multiple websites that there is no significant difference. Still pisses me off that they didn't show the Barrett m82/m107 how it really is fired. You can see the gun re****, then he manually re****s it in the movie after. All the guys on the gun forums are making fun of this lol. So stupid.

They are both the same gun though, the M107 is just the updated model with supposedly better internals to reduce recoil. All websites say there is no difference though, besides what they think was changed which I stated above.

Allright put it into a car perspective, they improved the 05 STi after the 04 year right? Yes they did, and thats what they did with the Barrett, it still has the M82a1 name with it and the STi still has its name. And everyone says they believe it has updated internals, no one truly knows though. Otherwise it is the same exact rifle.

The M107 is a M82A3, also known as the M82A1M. It just has a couple of modifications such as a universal scope mount. It's not a new weapon like everyone noted.

I'm not saying it's a new weapon. I'm just saying it's not the exact same gun.

The M107 has a lengthened accessory rail, rear grip and monopod socket. It is also supposedly a little heavier to further combat the effects of recoil.

Gotcha, it's what the military told them to do to perfect it I believe for their units.

Please say you are kidding. You are comparing the new Rambo movie....to f**king Predator. I hope you are drunk because this is absurd. Predator was better than the new Rambo on so many levels that I don't even know where to begin. Dutch would've dominated the new Rambo...although I've always wondered who would win between the original Dutch (Arnold in Predator), Rambo (Stallone in not new Rambo) and John Matrix (Arnold in Commando).

No matter what...saying the new Rambo is better than the orignal Predator is pure blasphemy...you've clearly watched too much Pokemon.

Yes sitting next to each other the two rifles look vary similar. But if you ever get a chance to fire both back to back then you will know the diferance. the 107 dose not kick as hard. But some will say they feel the same.

This coming from someone who made people fall down at over 1200m.

What is this we can't say "Hath****"!
