I know this is going to sound like every person who ever read a book and watched the movie, but here goes anyway. If you liked the movie Shooter and you like to read books it was based off a Stephen Hunter Novel Point of Impact, hands down my all time favorite book. They have many similarities to each other just the book does it in better ways. I would tell you some of the differences but I don't want to give anything away to people who would want to read it. If you like the book he also does a couple other Bob Lee Swagger Novels with sniper fights in them also great reads, one is Blacklight and the other is Time to Hunt. A couple other of his books are real good to. I just thought I would throw that out there.

Savior with Dennis Quaid has some good "sniping" scenes. Supposedly it's the movie that the DC Beltway snipers used for reference.

prepare for much disappointment on the former, and some on the latter.

Though its not a movie, you might want to checkout the new series Flashpoint on CBS. Caught the premier yesterday (think it was an encore) and it has potential. The show focuses around a SWAT (may not actually be called SWAT in the show, but thats what it is...) snipers. it looks like its going to be dealing with the snipers missions as well as the emotional toll of killing people and close calls with taking out the wrong person, etc. So far I'm unimpressed with the acting, though and it looks like they might be setting it up for some very annoying/predictable character interaction with the team's "new guy" but its got too much potential for me to completely write it off yet...

Guess I must be a homo then, thought it was a good and realistic portrayal of the military. So what are you doing later on tonight, ili?

Allright I watched the scene and it is the M82a1. Makes no sense though, it doesn't need to be re-****ed like that which is why I assumed it was the M95 which is basically the same thing except a bolt action and bullpup style mag placement.

It's all good.

Wonder what kind of looks you'd get going to an outdoor range with an M82A1

Haha idk im watching a bunch of vids right now of people shooting it at outdoor ranges. Not a single re-**** while they're shooting multiple times. But in Shooter Mark shot it 3 or 4 times re-****ing it every time. I'm confused lol.

Love the Barrett in COD 4, sounds like a canon.

Aren't the M82/m107 the same exact thing? Also, even if they're different, I watched M107 videos and they did not need to be re-****ed each time like in Shooter. I wonder if they just threw that in there to make cool sounds. barrett still calls it the m82a1/m107 also.
