Can cops pull you over in your driveway?

Ok this may sound strange, but i think a local cop was gonna pull me over in my driveway today. Yea...right in my driveway.

I was pulling out of Citgo a block from my house, as i was pulling out on a main road, a malibu who decided to run the stop sign on one of the sidestreets next to citgo ripped out and was gunning it as i was pulling out. Naturally so there would be no risk of rear-ending me, i floored it, tires sqealing. I accelerated till about 50, speed limits 45, then spotted a cop about 50 ft. up on the side of the road. I quickly put it in neutral and slowed it down to 40 as i past her. She pulled out, follwed me dangerously close. I mean so close if i decided to be a jerk and brake checked her she would of hit me for sure.
Anyway, i pull in my driveway, and she stops in front of my driveway. At this point i was boiling, as i knew even though i might of floored it to avoid that malibu, i didn't do anything wrong. I got out of the car, and just looked at her. She slowly pulled away.

What did she think she was gonna write me a ticket for something in my ****ing driveway??? Are they even allowed to do that? How about pulling over that malibu who blew through the stop sign onto a main rd.

I mean c'mon, i had cops follow me before on the way home, but not actually stop in my friggin driveway.

I think if you did something they could pull you over even if you go into your driveway

Pretty sure she could still write you a ticket while you were in your driveway. Hell they can send you a ticket in the mail. But if you had a buddy in the car then lost sight of her and you both got out real quick, she wouldn't know who the driver was. Either way jacked up situation. Was she hot? lol

Your home may be your castle, but it means nothing to a cop if they want to give you a ticket for a moving violation ! One night, when I was still in high school, a cop followed me home and wrote a speeding ticket in my driveway !

Man, cops can do anything they feel like. They can pull you over even if you're parked. If you didn't do anything, then you probably had the "intent" of doing something. Screw the cops....

I got a ticket once in my driveway, I ripped the cops eyeball out while he was in my window, I went to jail for a few years, but I'm ready to kill cops at this point. **** the police!

I got 3 tickets while my car was sitting in my driveway... Tints, no front plate and modified exhaust. Cop followed me home drove off then came back.

I had a friend get a speeding ticket in his driveway. If a cop watches you do something wrong they don't have to pull you over on the spot. Also, how do they know that its actually your driveway and not some random one you pulled into to avoid getting a ticket or evade arrest?

Yes they can write you a ticket in your driveway, If they see you do something illegal. It's not like you driveway is some kind of legal immunity zone. Slow down next time, stop driving like an ass, and stop blaming the cops for enforcing the law. She let you off anyway, get over it. Oh yeah, IBTL.
