1-Yes but everyone seems to be missing the part about the ass in the malibu who blew through the stop sign, and was flyin when he turned on the road, and THAT'S the whole reason i had to accelerate like that. And i'll be honest my whole town seems to hate our police department b/c when it comes to stuff like domestic violence, etc. they don't do ****. Last week my bipolar neighbor decided to bug out on my gf because she though she parked too close to her house. On the street.The cops were called by her, and when they arrived they wanted to arrest them both, for disturbance of the peace!! My gf didn't even say a word to her, just ignored her. Are you serious???

But since people said they could cite you in your driveway, i guess the question got answered.

Do YOU notice EVERYTHING that goes on around you? Every single thing?? Why should someone else? I don't think she was picking on you out of spite or she would have written you because what you did was in fact illegal. Even just slightly spinning your tires could be a violation... gotten one of those already and he tried to charge it as a damn wreckless.

Are there bad cops out there? yes.. but there are bad judges, bad sales people, bad contractors, bad mailmen for gods sake. *****ing about it and grouping everyone together calling them names wont help a damn bit. Get over it and move on. If the officer keeps harassing you for no reason then report that officer to the cheif of police.. been there and done that too.. Doesn't mean all officers abuse their power and are idiots.

yeah, i was gonna point that out until i saw your post, why is everyone getting on the "you were speeding, so don't complain if a cop tickets you" bandwagon. I don't know about the laws where you live, but here in texas speeding isn't automatically illegal. If your speed is (i believe this is the wording of the law) "reasonable and prudent" its legal. I'd say in your scenario it was both of those.

I'm related to a bunch and lived with one, and they love the power that comes with the badge. Even the one I lived with bagged on how motorcycle cops were douches. I would say there are a lot more "cool" ones out there but unfortunately only the assholes pull us over.

If I ever get harassed for stupid reasons I ask them (politely) to call their Field Sergeant and have him explain to me why I'm getting harassed for "X". Most the time they figure you know who it is or someone who works for the PD, and tell me to have a nice day and I tell them the same. Other times they just scowl and tell me to go away
