Default Euro 2008

Just curious if any soccer fans here who were following the tournament. (I bet i will hear crickets again). For those unfamiliar, its basically in a very similar format to the soccer world cup only with European teams.

I tried to follow as much as i could, which meant recording games for the most part. I have to say, it was a really cool tournament with lots of upsets and last minute goals. Probably the most exciting, at least in my recent memory. Also i think no other team deserved it more than Spain did; so congrats to them.

Anyone else watched/rooted for a particular team?

Last nights game was SSOOOO disappointing, Germany really should have been more aggressive, I hardly watch football and when few times i have its always been a boring game oh well.

But yeah i agree Spain were really pushing for it, i do find they were bigger cry babies than Germany, didnt pull any cry baby moves, only one i remember was Ballack but he was bleeding pretty good!

Yeah, it seemed like Germany would have been capable of a lot more, had the game gone their way. But Spain made sure it didnt. Overall, i really liked how the Spaniards were so solid in their own end and also brought firepower with their strikers.

i just didnt understand their scheme and tactics towards the end of the game when they were down by a goal..they had the ball on their half more like inside the 18, and were just dickin around not clearin the ball or getting it upfield to try and tie it up..i was pissed they lost but spain had a good tourny..it couldve easily been 2 or 3 to 0 with that header off the post

plus the goal spain scored, wtf was that defender doing letting that dude just run right around him then just gave up on the play expecting the keep the make the save???

yeah, spain worked pretty hard for that win and germany just didn't want it as bad! it's been 60+ yrs since spain has won, so they deserved that!
