Ice Road Truckers Fan Thread

So the thread about Yellowknife by FrozenSTI reminded me to ask if anyone else on here is a fan of the show Ice Road Truckers

I am really not one for reality shows, but this is a very interesting and educational one that teaches about occupations and environments that you never knew existed. Being part of the History channel, the show also makes it a point to explain in great detail about the northern eco-sphere, the whole natural resource industry, trucking and just overall on what it takes to keep operations running in such treacherous conditions.

So yeah, anyone else a fan?

I watch it sometimes, also got cought up in that new oil drilling show.....black gold or something like that.

I watched it a couple of times.... Crazy show..... I always wondered how my STi would hold up out there.

It would hold up just fine, drove it a few times with the STi.

Alex Deborgorski (funny Ice Road trucker) is well known in Yellowknife. I know him personally since he voluteers his time to sing church music with inmates who sit in the max cells. Great guy.

I watch it along with monster quest everytime there is a new ep. I was hoping surviving history would have been better then it was though,.

yeah I watch it. Hugh and Alex are entertaining though Drew... how did he get a job in season two?!? didn't his first boss in season two watch season one? lol

Yeah its super cold.... i wonder if youd have to put special fluids in it or what.
