What gas brand do you use?

is there even a difference? I think i've noticed that my car isn't too fond of 7-11 93oct and Exxon93 oct but likes Shell and sunoco.

My STI loves Chevron. I get much better gas mileage with it vs any other brand. Stay away from ARCO and Mobil

BP 93
Shell 93

Sometimes Marathon 93 since it has STP Fuel cleaner, i tend to switch it up once a month since BP has their "invigorate" shell as their "v-power" then sometimes i dable some Marathon with their "Stp fuel cleaners"

I love these posts.

The ONLY difference between gasoline brands is

a) Octane ratings (89, 91, 93, etc.)
b) Additives

Other than that, all gasoline is the same. I don't understand why people will never get this and they "think" that one brand is better for their car than another. The safest thing you can do is tank up at numerous different gas stations using the same octane. One thing that you DO want to avoid is tanking up when the tanker truck is there, has just pulled in, or has just left. The gas stations tanks are

a) low on fuel which is not good
b) low on fuel which is not good
c) has just stirred up everything that is at the bottom of the tank, increasing your chances for taking in some dirty gasoline.

are you suggesting additives make no difference in the quality of fuel your car is getting?
do you think that nonbrand (cheaper) fuel results in the same overall quality for you car as fuels such as shell v-power?

he's right though, here in the midwest the closet refinery is the BP in indiana and we also have one of those tanker fuel stations in the town next to me that is BP. BP trucks fill up there, and than other trucks labeled as WSC fill up there and deliver to places like

Marathon, Clark, Costco, Meijer, Woodmans

only differnece is the addatives the other stations want them to throw in, other than that it's all coming from the BP refinery.
