I fill up at a 76 station. Who knows where the gas comes from. I care more about the condition of the station than the brand, I figure that's more likely to predict the quality of the gas going into my tank.

I call BS on that. Given that gasoline is a fungible product, the base fuel will be the same for BP, Shell, Chevron, etc within a given area. The difference, as has been stated numerous times, is in the additive package. Considering that additives make up a tiny part of the fuel, they will not result in a 10 whp difference. Now if you are comparing regular to premium, that kind of power loss is possible.

I know for a fact 76 is the very best, and most chevrons come 2nd (but there are janky chev's in crap secluded places).

I wouldnt run anything other than 76 or chevron, just good practice, and it is true you can tune a tad more agressive and technically its safer than if u have ****ty gas. But this isn't black and white, its so dependent on each situation its retarded to think its an absolute.

I am doing 13 or 14 gals [1 to 2 gal left in tank] of 91,
then going across town to add around 1.5 to maybe 2 gals of 100 race gas.

Where did i go wrong on the ratio?
Thanks -v

To achieve 93 octane by mixing 100 octane and 91 octane, filling up 15 gallons exactly, you'd fill up 11.5 gallons of 91, then 3.5 gallons of 100. This should give you around 93.1 octane or so.

no didnt see your reply, here's what it takes to make 93 out of 91 and 100

It would take about 3.6 gallons of 100 to make 93 with the subaru 15.9 gallon gas tank

I don't lurk the threads everyday, looking for peoples replies to my posts, so take a chill-pill dude.

I just saw your post, if you learned to quote properly it would be easier to read, who you're talking too

1.5 gallons of 100 will bring your overall octane from 91 to 91.85

This is if your fuel mixes linearly
