Default looks like the STi wont be going to deals gap this year...

sucks cause i really wanted to take it, i had a blast last year

reason for not taking it.........cause i just picked this up saturday!!!!!!!

i'm coming from sportbikes (5yrs ago) so this is completly different for me and these parts, no one around here has a supermoto so i went out on a limb to do something different

i love it so far, i've got just under 200miles on it right now, it's still really tight so i'm anxious for the break in to be done, the power is insane, suspension is insane, and the brakes are nuts, brembos f/r with SS lines, biggest front brakes you can get on a SM 320mm, same as a sport bike, half the motorcycle curb weight

puts a smile on my face everytime i ride it

I don't think there is a smiley for me to express myself lol. That is beautiful! I have been wishing and hoping to grow the balls to get my first dual sport/motard bike. This one is a beauty! Do you think you will get some footage?

not sure, there will be a guy goin with a tank cam so i'm sure i'll get some air time (if he can keep up) this thing absolutly rails in the corners, you dont even have to try to rail it and the brakes are so insane it'll take me awhile to get used to their power, i keep finding myself slowing wayyyy before needed just cause of what i'm used to (motorcycle wise)

the only negatives i can come up with so far are...

2 gal tank which is good for about 80mi

seat is like sitting on a 2x4 with a towel on it

no wind protection, which really doesn't bother me

paid $7600OTD for it, as for how fast... not sure what you're looking for there, obviously by looking at this bike you can tell it's not engineered for top speed, i think with the stock gearing it'll do 110, that's plenty fast on something like this for me, i grew out of the big top end power my sportbikes had to offer, this things 100x more fun to ride than any of them

man, 7600 is a bit steep, I was hoping it would be around 5k. I can get into a Suzuki DR-Z400SM for about 5500 or so. For 7600 I would just pay another 400 and get a GSXR600(completely different bike I know).

the husky is leaps beyond the drz400, you'd have to dump at least $3k into a drz to get it where the 450smr is in power/handling/performance

$7600 sounds like alot but when you consider the suspension it comes with, brembos, FI, and a bada$$ engine it starts to be worth it, 55hp and 260lbs is way more fun than ANY gsxr600, i've ridden both

$7600! that couldve been a turbo set up. i used to have a raptor 660 bored out to 727cc. it was fast! top speed clocked at 122mph.

meh i already cant afford to drive it the way it is getting 20mpg let alone with a 30r or something, my car's mod path is done and i've got it where i want, this thing gets 45+mpg and it's way more fun to ride than drive the STi

4th gear power wheelies FTW
