2008-2009 GT-R AccessPORT Beta Testing - COBB Forums

I can't wait to hear some ridiculous numbers for their stage 2 maps. I'm sure it'll easily top 500whp.

Yeah, having an "automatic" just like a Ferrari Enzo or Bugatti Veyron...

I just wish it's got 7 or 8 speeds.. that's becoming the norm

I love how Cobb just beta tests their flashes on their customers' cars. Cobb's flash for the Mazdaspeed3 certainly isn't going well enough that I'd trust them on a GT-R.

On the GT-R, I have to say this:
The Truth About the Nissan GT-R and the Nürburgring Lap Record | The Truth About Cars
2009 Nissan GT-R Review | The Truth About Cars

I really don't like that web site, but in this case they make good points. I think the GT-R love-fest will be short lived.

that first article was retarded. Was that Mr. Z06 that wrote it? their is no way in hell a z06 will beat a GTR around the ring.

True but I'm with him ^. I just like my 6 speed. It's why I would take the Z06 over it. We are starting to sound like a new generation of car snobs. I imagine the days of a manual are limited? Soon computers will take over... then Skynet will become fully operational.

I agreeI want to have more driver input in the car as well and thats why I would also pick the Z06 over the GTR

Regardless of what you think, the fact that they used slick tires (even if they were cut) gives them a huge advantage over the Z06, not to mention we don't know whether the z06 lap time was with a standing start or not. If you think an equal race between a gtr and a z06 on the nurburgring wouldn't be close then i think you need to reexamine the situation.

And will be boring to drive at the same time. WOOOOOOOOO, automatic FTW.

This is coming from a Nissan fan btw. I'm a previous s13 owner and loved that car to death. Automatics just are not fun to drive; even if it is the SST and is faster than a stick.

I still vote for the Z06 FTW. All numbers and bench racing aside, I think it would just be more fun to drive and easier to mod as well.....

I would take the Z06 as well. Now only if they had an AWD option for the next generation Corvette.
