dude go on any motorcycle forum- these threads are a dime a dozen and somehow its always the most mature young person you've ever met who starts them. KawiForums.com Kawasaki Forums: Kawasaki motorcycle forums.

The new ninja 250R is a nice looking bike. MSRP $3499!! That thing would be a blast in the twisties.

Are you joking? read every post from every kid coming on this board talking how he is the most mature 18yr in the world and should have an STi as a first car. .... then go over to the M/C fourms and replace STi with GSXR.

Look dude .. I'm a licensed Racer and have more then enough time on bikes to say a modern 600 sportbike is as close to a race bike as you can get out of the box. Have a look at lap times between 600 superstock and 600 superbike... maybe 2-3 secs if that a lap.

If you have the money go out and buy an exotic 250 or 400... if not stick to a USED Kawi 250.. After 10k miles... rethink your next bike.

You say you will control your wrist... well you won't! and I don't need to know you to tell you that.

Please don't bless us with another "you don't know me" line..
You just look all the more like a kid when you say it.

There are street legal RS250's out there... I would start shopping for one.. Nothing like a 2t GP bike on the streets!

they dont really make 250s or 400s unless they are dirt bikes or dual purpose bikes from what I'm looking through. so im guessing dual purpose is the best beginner recommended type of bike to learn on then? cause i already have experience riding on a dirt bike (my off-road riding team would switch bikes here and there every once in a while). and the ninjas dont feel safe for my own comfort feeling when i sat on one

Very good.

No, 250's and 400's don't have to be dual sports or dirt bikes. The Kawasaki Ninja 250R is a sportbike and the Buell Blast (500cc, single) is considered sporty, which are two of my recommendations. In addition to the many cruisers that are around the same cc's.

here is a video of a RS250 on the track eating up big bikes.. He ends up getting tangled with an R1 that takes a very lazy line.

Yes thats 600RR's and SV650's he is flying by. His motor is stock.

nice...im not looking to beat or race anyone on their bike tho, whatever they may have....im more concerned with comfort and reliability for me personally...those factors are what i meant by the comparison (not necessarily speed or power)

If its comfort your after you need to rethink this and look for a crusier.

to his own a personal perception of comfort you know

all the sportbikes i had on my list were trashed and whatnot for certain reasons, but what about the fz-6? i read that it's actually a perfect bike for beginners on Naked bikes/Standard/Street bike

judging by the OP's comments throughout the thread my best advice for you is to check the little box on your license next to the words "Organ Donor".

Thank you, that is all.
