Default Mixed Martial Arts...

Well, I was just wondering how many of you guys are into this?
I've been watching it since UFC 1 back in 1993, and I'm a pretty big follower. I used to train pretty hard at it before I went into the military, and even did some training while I was in. Since getting out, I haven't trained at all, but still watch it all the time.

What fighters do you enjoy watching the most?
Personally, I love watching Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic the most, and I have been following his career since his early K1 days. Despite his most recent losses in the UFC, I really believe he has all of the tools to be the UFC champion if/when he chooses to come back. Right now he's fighting in DREAM, and his next fight should be in July, and possibly against Jerome LeBanner, who is a fantastic K1 striker. That will be a very dangerous fight for Mirko, but I still think he can pull off the win.

fedor emelianenko...so freakin dominant. I do like Mirko however his UFC debut wasn't impressive at all. I dont really like GSP but i have to respect him. BJ Penn has been a let down since he's come back. And I think Matt Hughes is past his prime.

Yes, Fedor is the greatest MMA fighter of all time, but he hasn't faced any top level competition since Mirko. He's suppost to fight Tim Sylvia in July, so we'll see how that goes.

I'm not too sure about Cro Cop beating LeBanner. LeBanner is pretty much a stronger, more skilled version of Cheick Kongo (w/o the knees to the groin) - it's going to be pretty tough for Cro Cop to beat LeBanner imo. Should be an awesome fight nonetheless, their first fight in K-1 was intense and I love watching two southpaws go at it.

My favorite fighter to watch? I'd have to go with Takanori Gomi.
