I was an Evo IX fan all the way. An MR was going to be my car after my Corvette but I had many people at the track tell me evos were pieces of crap. That was coming from present and past owners. As you can see from the pictures of brand new Evo X's, they are indeed, pieces of crap with no warranty from the factory.

EDIT: you should show him all the horror posts on Evolutionm and ask him if he really wants that pos to be his next car. I bet he could still find a IX MR around Denver with very, very low miles.

That's what stopped me. I like the new Evo X for looks, but I couldn't stand dealing with all the quality problems. Maybe when I was still driving Mustangs I could have been tempted, because I was sorta used to regularly visiting the dealer for warranty work. But my STI has spoiled me. Almost 50K miles and damn near flawless. This is how owning a car should be...

My mustang was the same way. I like to call it the worst car I have ever owned. The only time my STI has been to the dealer was to replace the struts. I got no questions asked and the job was done that same day.

i have been telling him to just get an 06 mr or se with low miles..not only would it save him all the problems from the x's but it would at least save him anywhere from 15-20 grand..apparently his dad has some money tho and wont let him buy a used car ......

Then tell the morons dad to buy him a base model C6 Corvette. A new X MR is going to be very close in price to a base model C6.

It would be boring if it could be compared to a 6 speed Enzo.

Good point. I guess you could pull up to a Mitsu dealership in a C6 Z06 and they would find a way to say trade it in for an EVO X MR because the MR is better.

Yeah, I would think an 04 would pull an x mr in a straight line.
