For weeks this guy has been challenging me, before I even got my car. I gave him 5-1 on his money and beat him by about 15 cars lengths 6 times in a row Dam i love my car

Ditto. Especially when they cost as much as an STI or EVO

It was a new one because he got a 2008.. All he ever talks about is the DSG and how quicker it is than stick then he said he wants a rematch when he gets his new exhaust.. I told him well good luck because in by that time I'll have my downpipe and stage 2 cobb 93 octane map... You have a better chance now then you will then

Dude you'll school him stock untill he gets a turbo. A stock gti is about just as fast. Those cars are sooooo heavy. And dsg is for whimps. And his cute little exhaust will give him a measly 15 hp at most. So rest assured you got him in the palm of you're hand.

just watch out if he ever gets a turbo on that thing. Those v6s get pretty nasty and are really strong for the measly power that thing puts stock.

High compression pistons + turbo tends to equal pretty decent power with relatively low amounts of boost.

Yeah
too bad he has to spend $10,000 to reach that power.
that was the cheap 450hp kit. The other eip kit i saw was $18,000
for the same hp rating.

wow...

I knew they were expensive to upgrade but that is pretty crazy. Definitely not the most economical way to go. But then again how much does it cost to build a reliable sti at those hp levels? Obviously not 18gs but probably close to 10??

Anyway, its pretty funny how slow they are stock.

umm... thats only if he buys the name brand turbo kits. it costs the same amount of money as it is for us if they do a custom turbo. you also need to look out for the SC R32s. they can be just as nasty. my buddy put one on his and was running 375whp all day.

because they are awesome cars. the interior and ride quality blows subaru and mitsu out of the water. considering they are NA putting out 240hp isn't too bad either.
