That was the first game I've really watched of the playoffs, and it was a good one imo.

A lot of good hits, scuffles, etc. Pittsburgh really pulled it off, but I'm sure the Wings will prevail.

Crosby really came out strong, and played well (like he does a lot of the time).

Side note, anyone see the Ovechkin interview? I've never cared for him, and this made me think even less of him. Seems like a big, ****y tool box to me.

All I can say is I am happy to see the Pens get a goal! I really hope they can make this into a series... they are definitely going to have to step it up on Saturday if they can get a win and get some momentum going back to Detroit... because everyone knows how well the Pens played in Detroit!

LETS GO PENS!

That game was more like what I expected to see from the whole series. I'm glad we are still hard to take down at home. Problem is there are only three games at home. Can they get one in Detroit while holding off in Pitt.

But how about Orpik . That series of hits was great. It was like someone just made a your mom comment to him. 4 hits in like 20sec. I think three of them went to the ice.

I think that game was a result of the NHL not wanting a sweep... gotta get that endorsement/tv money... How you gonna dominate completely at home with 2 shutouts, barely allowing shots on goal.. only to go lose by one.. meh... Now that we got that outta the way, I say the Wings will win the next 2, closing in 5........ Add this to my Pistons loss made for a crappy night... Boo..

I think we made mistakes and the Pens made us pay for it. Didn't see anything ref-wise different than the first couple of games. The Wings aren't as easily frustrated as the Pens are, so I doubt you'll see too many after-the-whistle recipe exchanges in the corner.

Let's see if we can get back into form for game 4.

That was a great game, hats off to the Pens. They played great. Like what Boondock said, Detroit made alot of mistakes and Pitt cashed in on it. Glad to see that we have a new series at hand. Should be interesting to see how this unfolds. GO WINGS!

Detroit needs to focus and play the puck control game they are so good at. It seems like they were thrown off their game by the melon arena crowd and Pens coming at them hard. Cant afford to give Pens life. Going up 3-1 on Saturday is a must.

^While I agree they need to be more controlled, I think all they need to do is eliminate the stupid mistakes. And while I would dearly love to go up 3 - 1 on Saturday, we've already won a series that came back to Detroit 2 - 2.

They'll come out a bit more settled and businesslike. Dare I say machine-like. I hope.
