Why do we have to wait till Saturday for this to kick off??? This series should have started Wed. or Thurs... They had to wait till Saturday at 8pm, right when game 3 of my Piston/Celtics series is on. Looks like I'll be taping one, watching the other..

I agree that this will be a very interesting series to watch... I think it will be a long series tho... I'm guessing 6 or 7 games... but I am going with the Pens... if they can manage to split in Detroit... and go back to Pittsburgh 1-1... I think they have a very good shot at winning it... Can't wait for Saturday!



And holy crap... everywhere I read... seems like the Red Wings fans seem to be soooo ****y?! I think they are two evenly matched teams and it could go either way... but from all the Red Wings fans comments on places like cbssportsline.com... it seems that the pens dont stand a chance?!!? Is every Wing fan like this? or just a select few?

I am a Penguins fans to the death... but every team can be beat...

I imagin its clear from my past posts who I want to win, but that I know its going to be close. That being said though from what I have been hearing on the radio in Pitt most things comming out of Detroit are really level headed. There haven't been reporters telling the players to hurt Crosby or just being overly confident like past playoff rounds. But thats not the fans really, so I don't know. It seems like everyone understands how valuable this round will be to the NHL as far as rebuilding a fan base.

I have respect for both teams for admitting that they are evenly matched.

The Red Wings have been in the playoffs enough to know better than get ****y. A few 8th seed upsets will do that to you.

On the actual hockey side of things, I do wonder what will happen. Pittsburg's path through the playoffs has not been that difficult (which I'm certain they'll admit). Ottawa = no defense. The Rangers = old and banged up. Philadelphia = no offense. The Pens disposed of all of them, but that's what good teams do.

Looking forward to good series. And hopefully a cup. Go Wings.

It's the Red Wings year IMO. Pens have alot of talent, but the same can be said for detriot just with much more experience. As a flyers fan i've felt the Wings were gunna win the cup regardless.
