Default Traded in STI for EVO X...

yupp....after one test ride/drive in the Evo X, that was it....the car is a handling animal and wont loose grip even if you try with all its might (i tried several times from 50-100mph on freeway on ramps and the car did not move and no tire screech!!)....so I am now a new owner of an 08 Octane Blue Pearl Evo X...i never thought i would own an EVO after 4 Subies, but I have matured and realized that Subie vs Mitsu is pointless as an awesome car is an awesome car!

Congrats! Both cars are great performers, and you should be happy with your choice.

Cheers.

I am pretty shocked you were so impressed given how modified it looks like your STI was.

Congrats on the new car!

Most of the Evo forums are pretty bad.

I think once I get my new Evo I'll still be hanging out on IWSTI and NASIOC a lot more than on any of the Evo boards I've found so far...

Nice. I am sure you are on a long list of jumpers to the dark side after this hole recall thing.

Yeah but the X's also inherited the paint dmg situation like 08 wrx / sti hatches.
Evo X damaged paint thread from normal driving - evolutionm.net

and the typical gernading Evo tranny
Evo X transmission notchy/grinding issue poll.... - evolutionm.net
Lot of people already have had their clutch+gear sets replaced.

The only people that would jump because of the recall are the very short-sighted ones. Mitsubishi's list of problems with the Evo X is substantial.
