IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2005 | Supercharged 993 3.6L into a 914~ (We almost did this, but realized that 450ish hp/torque would = death in a 2000 lb car, so we just left the 3.2L =D) -Ben |

yes, it definitely would be. I've driven a 914 before. Awesome car, extremely fun to drive. Didn't care for the gearbox pattern much, though.......

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2005 | Yeah, the pattern kinda sucks. A lot of people miss gears when they drive it because they think 2nd is off to the right more and hit 4th instead and get an instant bog, haha. It's called Le Mans style, but I really can't remember the advantage of it off the top of my head. -Ben |

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2006 | Nooice. Rear wheel drive huh. Is that little SS line from the intake tube to the throttle body the throttle bypass valve? Haha, funny. |

IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2005 | Oh the rear drive focus with the Large v-8 is always a great swap. Its only problem is that the focus does not give you all that great a weight savings over an older fox body mustang so it usually makes more sense to just resto-mod an old fox body. But if you like having a sleeper, the rwd Focus is the sleepiest. |

Also took a bit of work as it took the place of the Gas tank and required the fabrication and install of a fuel cell as a replacement.Yup, caused a 2000rpm idle problem that took me 3 days to sort out too. There pretty easy engines to work on though. Quote:
The only real giveaway is the big diff, maybe the sound as well, heh. But it still surprises a few people and is damn fun to drive.
