IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2007 | yes, but it won't reach very far without an external antenna. i had an untuned external antenna last year, and i couldn't always hear all the way to the front or the back. but it didn't matter too much, since i was able to hear most people, and i could still follow the train ahead of me. I would recommend getting an external antenna attachment for your handheld, which is what I have...it plugs into the car lighter instead of using the battery pack, and then had a connection point for the external antenna. |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2006 | Can't the hand held radios work instead of actual CB? They get same channels. I am ready to put in for this at work to have off. I have pampered my car long enough. Let me see if I can get some other subie buddies I know to commit. Eric |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2007 | you mean shortwave radios or handheld CB? if it actually gets the same CB frequencies, then it will work up to a point. but when we have a train that stretches for a couple miles, only those with external antennae will hear everything. i borrowed one last year, but this year, i am buying the lil will, which is supposedly the ideal blend of shortness, performance, and cost. |

| Spec C Club Feedback Score: 1 reviews | This sounds awesome. I'm going to check and see if I can make this. I would definitely need to bring someone with me though to cut costs and such. |
