no... your civic is not 700 or 800 horsepower and I would love to "come out and play". Do you know what a sanctioned track is?

next time you see me around, its usually rolling with a blue s2000 and blue evo, and a red vette (i drive a black 05 with jersey tags) why dont you come up to me and talk rude like this? or you could be cool and introduce yourself and start out on the right foot with us. sure you may have some good cars in your club, but from what ive seen, most of them arent worth bringing out of the driveway. im sorry, thats just how i feel. im a part of team 908...never heard of us? you will. we have track days, we go to shows. if you want to "run" us...along with your mouth, come to our track days and well be more than happy to put you in your place. until then, i would just leave your post count at "1" and move on with life man. and id like to see this stock civic beating sti's and evo's. are you one of those toolbags that leaves sheets parking who floors it, and thinking your tires are roasting off your turd, but instead its the clutch slipping to hell? i know there are alot of people who do that. you hang out with street ghosts right? i think i saw them leaving with a few of you the other night haha.

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2009 | Ok so im in LVT and im in the middle. I dont care for hondas either. I'm not a mechanic or know what a "GSR" really can put out for power. If you ask me how to rebuild a transmission i'll laugh at you. So ive been hearing that the civic can out down 700+hp too but im still waiting to see it. I hope it happens cause it would be the first honda in the area that ive personally seen put down the power. Im not posting to start anything etc. But I do have to sit back and laugh and the arguements that go on here lol. I dono I will agree that some ppl do get alotta help frm others with their car, But I can sure as hell you I DONT! lol and I have nothing to brag about by any means. But I do have a passion for cars. And when I first got a my car I was working minimum wage and wanted to make my car big and fast and its not easy. And im not the kinda person that has money (even now) that when something brakes, boom! it goes to the shop, I pick it up all fixed up and show em the cash. Nahh you can ask many of my close car friends, even if I dont know wtf im doing i'd rather try and figure it out on my own and learn something. Only time I pay ppl to do stuff for me is if its out of my field (Ex. Alarm system) or I dont have the tools to complete the task properly. I live in allentown, I DONT have a garage, or even a driveway. When I work on my car its outside on the street. Back when we had those 2 weeks or FREEZING weather this past winter, my starter went. I have AAA+ and coulda had it towed to a garage and fixed, but I troubleshooted the problem myself, talked to others and figured out the problem. Basically this isnt sobb story or a way to make LVT look good. What im saying is that not everyone in LVT is lucky enough to have ppl buy things for them or have it easier I guess you can say. Not saying s*** about anyone either. Again this ISNT for arguement sake. Im just sayin my part I guess. P.S. I havent seen the guy with the STI yet so I cant say if its nice or not personally, Ive been told its sick and he knows his **** but supposedly he's always working or at college. |

IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2006 | i understand you work on your own car. no one is saying anything like that. and as for that guy that started talking down on people who bring their car to a shop...maybe he drives something a little less involved than something like a subaru. when i drove my honda (verry quick prelude with jdm h22 and MANY other parts) i knew everything about that darn thing there was to know. and i did everything myself. it was hard to break from lack of knowledge as there wasnt too much for electronically controlled devices. stis are a bit different. EVERYTHING is electronic from the throttle plate, to boost. now you mean to tell me that if you spent 30,000+ on a car and didnt know anything about it, you would go poking around? i dont think so. ive ben a tech for 7 years, and still have to ask questions. thats simply how you learn. im sorry, but because of how xr4ti came here on OUR forums and started talking all this crap...from one car club to another, i have lost alot of respect for you guys as a whole let alone for that person himself. what he did by signing up to this forum for the sole reason to bash on someones opinion, to me, is just immiture...ignorant even! needless to say, it was unnecessary. i also dont think he prepaired for someone being on this forum that was also part of another local club...and would see what he said. now, ive never really even had a conversation with any of you LVT guys, everytime i see you in sheets it seems like everyones nose is up in the air quite honestly (just an observation) so next time you see someone up there rocking a team908 shirt, why dont you come over and say hi...maybe whoever started this problem in this thread can apologize even. all im trying to say is lets start out on the right foot. if thats too much to ask, than continue being how youre being. well get on with life. i hear you guys are joining with street ghosts...its not like we havnt dealt with their attitudes for the past, God knows how long.
