IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2003 | I noticed that the Lotus Club is doing an autox practice session this Saturday. Anyone feel like going down there? You can get info at the Golden Gate Lotus Club website: http://www.gglotus.org/ggautox/ggautox.htm Today looks to be the last day to register. Price is $55 for non-members (includes lunch). Don't have to own a Lotus to participate. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2003 | Bummer... but have fun at Moto GP. Should be a blast! I went and signed up for the Lotus Club session. I'll post a report and some pics when I return. This will actually be my first AutoX in the STi, though I have done track days at Laguna Seca & Thunderhill. Interested to see how I stack up against the Elises. It could be ugly. |

| STI Driver Feedback Score: 1 reviews | the elises are pretty darn fast, especially with a skilled driver... next time there is another session be sure to post the info again and maybe ill be able to make it. I heard you get something like 20 runs in which is awsome compared to the 3 to 5 you get at usual scca autox events. btw, that porsche is sweet! |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2003 | I pretty much expect to get my clock cleaned by the Elises... but the weather should be nice. I just hope my worn RE070s can hold out. I wish the Porsche were mine - it's actually the Ruf Yellow Bird from this article: http://www.roadandtrack.com/article....rticle_id=2572 |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2003 | What an awesome day out... Unfortunately, I was the only STI there 4 or 5 evos, 15 or so Elises, an Exige, a 427 cobra, a 350 shelby, an 05 Mustang, 3 or 4 S2000's, a Supra Turbo, and another half dozen or so Miatas. Probably some others I forgot, too.I'll post up the official results when they go online, but I did us proud, despite it being my first autocross. Number of cones hit in parentheses: Heat 1 55.188(1), 71.XX, 54.578, 53.278(1), 53.224 Heat 2 51.466, 51.306, 51.290, 51.741 Heat 3 50.925(1), 50.871, 50.508(1), 50.677(1) Most of the evos were running 52-54 from what I saw. A red MR was in the 50.X and 51.X range - I think he was the fastest. If I had another heat, I could have broken into the 49's. It would have also helped to know what section I hit the cones in as I never got that info. Favorite part? The slalom! My instructor was running 48.X in his S2000 with slicks. I think the top time of the day was a 46.X from a race miata. Need more STI love next time! So ronery... (The 71 second run was because my subwoofer unseated itself and became a trunk-projectile... had to bag that one) Last edited by HarlanPepper; 07-22-2006 at 05:47 PM.. |
