yes! cause BOSE is the first company that comes to mind when I am thinking about car handling...

the jump was awesome tho. More like an "ollie" i suppose. Now can we teach it to grind curbs?

Cool technology. It looks heavy.

yeah the jump made me look twice, but its amazing that it can absorb bumps so well and still be planted on corners. but to me it seems more like an airbag system on steroinds.

It's an electro-magnetic suspension. It has a "brain" that controls the signals to each corner. The thing I can't figure out is, does it sense the bumps at the wheels, send it to the "brain", then send it back to the corners to adjust the suspension? If that is the case, that signal is STi fast to go back and forth and still be able adjust real time.

I just hope this actually becomes real because they decided to use a 1997 Lexus LS sedan for their prototype. So I was worried that the video was from back then and this never came to be.

Still, amazing that SOMEONE came up with it.

Considering the cost of regular brain dead coilovers and the Bose wireless surround sound that setup will probably be some big money. Still pretty cool though.

Bose, which produces some nice speakers, has a division that researches a lot of applications for magnet technology because that's their primary business function - the better you learn to control vibration and motion with magnets, the better the sound quality. This wacky suspension is right in line with speaker technology.
