if you read the latest road and track both of these cars were driven, tested etc with a slew of others. MB SLR, bugatti, Ruf rt12 and some more. The test was 0-200mph in the shortest time. The winner??? The Viper. 0-200 in 20.xx sec. beating the vette and the bugatti. This car is just nuts. They pulled to 200mph in only 5th @6kRpmish if I remember correctly. The driver spun the wheels in 4th with tail wag. Pretty sick car, not to mention Hennessey warrantys this thing for the first year or something like that. SICK!!!!

Yea I was reading about the Hennessey and they said they aren't able to take it into high rpms until 5th gear because it will break the rear end loose.

If you listen to them when they're talking they talk about not being able to take it to redline in low gears because of the amount of power and how violent the boost comes in.

read the whole article and look at the data...the bugatti beats it in every single test except the final 200 mph mark...until about i think it was 175 the bugatti was winning

The Bugatti was just 0.1 sec ahead at the standing mile. But that was because of the Hennessey's wheelspin going into 4th gear. That article is a must read.

If you calculate, like what everyone says, the viper was short shifting the whole time through 4 gears. I say hennessey should turn the beast into an AWD 1100whp monster to see what it really can do.

Ya the R&T issue is awesome. The viper is also just over 1000 lbs lighter than the Bugatti and sports 365 Super dooper tires.

Great vid. I read the article and the Viper absolutely slaughters the bugatti in 100-200mph dash by a full 5 secs (Viper 13sec and Bugatti 18secs) if I remember correctly. One day I gotta get me one.
