the mazdaspeed is cheaper, has more hp, pulled more g's on the skid pad, and was faster through the slalom and has a better interior. same time as the wrx in the 1/4. Only downside is its slower by .2 in the 0-60. Oh and it brakes and handles better.

Still can not believe the little Subie still beat it 0-60.... by 2 tenths with "40" less hp! and Tied in the Quarter!

The skidpad, slalom, and braking numbers are more representative of the tires on the car than the chassis (especially skidpad). Take off those crappy all-season RE92s and put some real summer tires on there, then see how much those numbers improve, including braking. The Mazda has much better stock tires.

Check out the Mazda 3s side impact rating too. No thank you...
