I'll revive this one.........holy crap!!! Maybe that is why rotary engines are banned in most motorsports I can think of. If anyone can think of a large motorsports series where those bad boys are legal......let me know so I can start watching it religiously. Looking forward to that as my ringtone......Matt

OMG! That sounded awesome! I wish my RX8 could have sounded like that...I will say though even the 8's with just a midpipe and a catback are freaking rediculously loud...not quite like that though. And I thought the 20b 3 rotor was a beasty engine. That guy had a 4 rotor!

i thought 4 rotors were in the lemans race, but quick none-the-less. only part i hate about rx-7's is the constant rebuild of the engine due to apex seals or something else blowing up.

Its has the same amount of fires per revolution as a 24 cylinder engine....Insane..

I have never heard of the 4 rotor mazda engine.... that was an insane car... very cool.
