When I saw that scion commercial I just kept think about the gay pride marches in the 80s. "we're here, we're queer!"

We're all the same cause we're all unique. Nonsense - or maybe I'm too old and I'm past that now for a few decades.

Maybe Subaru doesn't need/use commercials like these because the Product speaks for itself. At least to the people who know and love the product.

Those civic commercials depict everything that I find obnoxious about civic/"tuner" culture as it pertains to imports (and obviously hondas in particular). Neon, big wings, craptacular graphics, blech...

As someone who owned a modded CRX back in 1994, I really don't like where the whole thing went. It went from a few people making their cars fast, tasteful, and understated to a bunch of assclowns turning their cars into a rolling circus.

That's precisely what I love about my STI, nobody notices it.
