Sorry for your loss.

Just because you are jealous doesn't mean you have to act like an ass...

Sorry about your loss dude, that is very sad. Nice cars, tho. What'd u cash out his insurance policy? Make sure you don't blow all the money on rides, they're nice and addictive, but cars are money pits, and u end up regretting it in the long run. Save for college! haha....
So do u have any STi experience? How do u like the EVO vs. STi?
Peace out...

Yep that's exactly what I did. I was only going to make a small downpayment and put the rest in a cd but since the economy is so ****tay right now the interest I gain in the cd would be cancelled out by the interest I would pay on a loan so what's the point. So I just paid the car off. I can easily sell it for more then I bought it for I can assure you that.

Don't worry I have plenty left over that's going into a savings account. Plus I'm going to act like I have a car payment and make a payment to myself every month.

Oh the topic of STI's yes I've had experience with them. Driven every year stock and modified except an 08.

This is my opinion on the cars which I've said before on hear. Some people agree with me while others totally think I'm biased whatever I'm not go look at my thread history.

Anyway I think the STI is more suited towards a less race car type crowd. Better for daily driving because its just easier to drive in general. Smaller turbo along with the extra .5l displacement over the evo makes for quick spool. Not that the Evo (especially the IX's with MIVEC) are really laggy they just aren't as easy. More clutch slipping and more revs to get going.

The Evo in my opinion is an all out race car. Easier to mod, cheaper to mod and make faster then an STI, and way easier to work on. Main reason the evo makes more power with less money invested is because the engine (4G63) has been around for a very long time. Almost 20 years I think of not more. So needless to say they only came over to the states in 2003, mods started about 20 years ago, pretty much perfecting the tuning aspect.
