They seem to imply since there is less energy in ethanol it is the same as 110 mpg on gasoline. So it sounds like it isn't really 110 mpg.

The big 3 would be all over this like a cheap suit and Honda and Toyota would send someone to tour the plant and borrow this technology. Nice to see the reporter ask those hard hitting questions, like, "hey let's see this thing in action then check the gas gauges" or "so this is a Ford, does the 100mpg include the miles on the flatbed towtruck?" Whatever happened to investigative or skeptical reporting? |

I think you would only get better mileage from the economy map if you were flooring the car on the freeway, non-stop, because I only hit a max of about 8 PSI. It seemed to spool a little bit slower until 6 PSI, and then drop taper to 8-ish. Before 6 PSI, it feels almost like a stock STi. For around town driving, without a lot of WOT, there's not noticeable difference in mileage (at least for me).

IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | hahaha they say they will improve even further and make one that can get 500mpg wtf happened to the in between. 200, 300, 400. This guy tuning a 5.0 for gas mileage is obviously already an idiot for thinking thats an ideal motor for gas mileage. funny ****. |
