Most complete car I've ever driven, and I've driven a lot of them.

Truth be told, both the Cayman and the S came underpowered and "handicapped" from Porsche. They had to because it would have overshadowed the 997 and 997S, which was a NO GO for Porsche. The CS already laps 3 seconds faster around the Nurburgring than the 997 stock for stock in the hands of Walter Roehl. If they had kept the initial 325hp it would have surpassed the 997S. They were never going to let that happen to their halo car.

I basically got it as a track car. I traded a 996S for it. I really wanted a 997 GT3 but my preference for a mid-engine RWD chassis was the determining factor, since it was basically going to be used on the track the ideal balance and weight transfer of a ME/RWD won out. I can't afford a Carerra GT I'm afraid, lol.

So I have spent the last year heavily modifying it. It's not quite GT3 fast but is pretty close unless I go FI. As it stands I think the last test day ran 371/303/2870/4.3/12.4@114.7. I work with a great shop and they have managed to get it this far without disturbing it's perfect balance and handling. It's basically like a mid-engine GT3, just a touch slower. We have a lot of varied cars at my local track and it out runs my friends Exige Cup comfortably, especially on the straights. And it runs nose to nose with my other friend's modded Noble M400, except from a standstill obviously where he is much quicker. Overall I've been very happy with it.

As for Cayman S being underpowered... this will take care of that in a hurry.

The 9ff is awesome, but I'd still take the Veyron. Why? It was developed to last, and it has so much money in research and engineering behind it that it's hard to ignore. Speed is an achievement, no doubt, but it's how you get there that is also a big achievement IMHO.

well, Veyron is 1000hp and... its a luxury full interior car. The porsche is... not much different from a car to drive only on a racetrack.

Turbo on 9ff sounds pretty sick though.
