Apparently it wasnt a piston according to one of the comments on Youtube.

"It's a piece of airbox that 'exploded' when the rider activated a huge dose of dry nitrous too early... The rider is Brock Davidson, famous and top quality motorcycle tuner. Do a little of research before posting."
