no, this is not correct

so, reasons why germany is "safe"
- drivers test takes long, is expensive, with theoritical and practical testing
- we must were seat belts!
- bikers must wear helmets!
- even bicycle riders wear helmets (educational thing)
- our cars must pass a technical test every two years, busses and trucks every year, cabs every six months
- it´s easy to loose your driving licence! alkohol, speeding, overtaking in the wrong lane, even if you park in the wrong places too many times
- the higher your whp the higher the insurance (it´s not this simple but I can´t explain the whole insurance crap)


but the real reason: all germans are nazis and obey the leader (=government=police)

Thank you. That is exactly what they are. They are dishonest government employed thieves that steal from the poor and give to the rich. For the most part they cause more accidents than they prevent. I have been in a car that was driving on a wide, straight road obeying all traffic laws when a "highly trained" cop hit us and totaled the car. It would be so much more efficient if these people would just tax us in an honest way. When you go down the street in a small town and get pulled over because of speed limits they deliberately vary so that they catch you in a 25 zone that was a 35 zone 10 feet ago it is inefficient. It makes your insurances higher, and the government has to pay these idiots and pay for their equipment. Raising tax in an honest way would keep more money in all of our pockets (not that I want them to raise tax, but it certainly would be better than this). "To protect and serve" Yeah to protect themselves and the local government's interest and to serve doughnuts. It's disgusting.

If my government was telling to go as fast as I like where it's safe I'd be happy to listen to it as well! After visiting Germany and seeing how all civilized, modern countries should run their highway system I am very envious of you guys. How difficult would it be for an American who doesn't speak German to immigrate to Germany and earn a living wage?

i agree that the driving tests should be much harder to pass, way too many bad drivers out there!

Speed is easy to prosecute and pump through the court room quickly (ie more money collected per session).

Lots of other things are more dangerous than simply speed not the least of which is speed variance. But they don't go for the traffic weavers or the cell phone yackers or the soccer mom's scolding johnnie in the back seat. Those take time to prove careless or wreckless driving.

Much easier to nail the speeder with a radar/lidar gun and process him even if he's driving aware, with equipment in good repair and within the envelope of conditions and his/her ability; ignoring the people who can't maintain lane discipline or turn/exit from the wrong lane.

if you watch the video by the time the car would have made it to the dog the dog would have been out of the way of him in the right lane. he should have just stayed put.
