Wow I bet that was a harrowing experience. I found my STi to be much less than stable at high speeds. Not to mention LOUD!!!!

With the stock gearing? I am pretty sure the top of 6th gear is 172 MPH.

Stock gearing. 172 is not the top of 6th. Says gps, and my avcr.

Yes, but if the motor is modified to take it, one could always bump the rev-limiter to the desired RPM in order to push the STi to 200 MPH.

My motor was built and I had 541hp but my rev limiter was still on stock settings because the heads werent done.

At 8rpm redline you would top out at about 196 and at about 209 at 8.5k redline. Thats if you had enough power to get you there.

That Vette is rocking ... woot, woot! I had one of these growl at me the other day ... my Scooby was like, F--k dat ...

I like the big truck on the track -- 1:48 into the video .... lol. Guy must have been tuning his truck to make faster deliveries ...
