^Thats what I was thinking if you look at the lil speedo on the HVAC vent, hard to read but you see 207.xx in red

Regular C6 is like 186 IIRC. The 200mph barrier in production cars is actually fairly significant.

There have been several reports on people in Germany making 200+MPH runs in the C6 ZO6 on the Autobahn.
Keep in mind, that when automakers test production cars, they are limited to a certain distance to run the car flat out. Someone told me they are limited to two miles for a top speed test.

Where did you get that information from? I remember watching a interview with Dodge executive who commented on the rumor of Viper discontinuing; and he essentially said that Viper is not discontinuing.

I don't think there were any official statements released stating that the Viper is discontinuing; you are only spreading a rumor.

For me, I'll probably go with the GT-R, which should have top speed above 190mph stock. I would think AWD at such a high speed is probably more stable.

OK yes you can always go a little faster with a tailwind or going downhill. Hell even light mods like a reflashed ecu would prolly break 200 in a C6 Z06. The top speed claimed by Chevrolet is 198 though. The point I was making is that if 205 mph is the top speed it is faster than the Z06.

Manufacture claims almost always mean nothing, 205mph for the ZR1 seems kinda low considering it's gaining 100 more hp on the Z06. I guess gearing could be the limiting factor.

Man more GM trash my Sti with Fp Red will kill the ZR1 from a stop and keep up from a slow roll. J/K love this car woud have one if I had 100K.

Actually the ZR1 is rated at 650 hp which is 150 more then the z06, plus the car is lighter and has better aero. I really expect the car to hit no less then 220mph....if you see the ineterior of a zr1 it has red accents and the one in the vid does not so I wonder if it really is a zr1 or not.

Wow, 650; I guess I was in the dark on the car. I thought they were only going to be going to 600. Ultralight car plus 650 horsepower = holy sh!t.

I would imagine the engine will respond really well to mods just like any other newer gen Corvette.

GM statistically underestimates the horsepower on their cars. For instance, the C5 Z06 is rated at 405HP, but most came out with more like 425.

Actually the ZR1 is heavier than the C6 ZO6, but it is more aerodynamic.

C6 Z is the best bang for your buck on the current market. +1 for the Z06, and yes that is the new ZR1 since the hood is raised in the middle for the supercharger
