Default Exhaust air jack

Exhaust air jack

Pretty cool idea, as long as your car dosent totally bottom out you will always have a jack that will fit under the car.

Your trunk is going to stink though

Ideas been around for a long time, not the exhaust thing, but lifting equipment using air and such, they use it in Rescue situations a lot, there is some company that makes one that can lift a tank off the ground...forget who tho.

I could see that thing playing havoc on the STi's side cowling and any cars ground effects. Not to mention you need to gently let the car down just enough to get the tires touching the ground to tighten the lugs before fully putting it back on the ground. I wonder how the bag deflates? I would imagine after disconnecting the hose from the exhaust pipe the car would come crashing to the ground! Also, is all the backpressure necessary to keep the car off of the ground good for the exhaust system/engine?

I think I could have had the jack out and the car in the air by the time he had that thing out of the bag.

seems like a safe place to jack up a car.... on grass, in the middle of a field.

all that back pressure cannot be making that engine happy

I was waiting for him to pass out while he was letting the air out. It's basically a giant bag of carbon monoxide.... genius!

that's not a proper jack point either.

+1. I was thinking the same two things.
