I think the only thing going for it is its ability to burn rubber, as they demonstrated several times. Anyone that purchases this car is either very nostalgic or (politely) doesn't share my beliefs. I think it looks decent but just like most American muscle cars...they have too much power and don't know what to do with it.

It"s a decent looking Car in my opinion...has a great engine and it can Go...."I feel" that it is about 500 lbs or so - to heavy 4,280 curb weight......From what I read it can accelerate to 60 in under 5 sec and high 12"s~ flat 13~s quarter mile at 108.5 mph. The burning rubber thing (Holding the brake) in the vid I guess was supposed to be nostalgic..I also read that Dodge did some work in the handling dept......
"The Challenger SRT8 front end incorporates numerous functional design features. Included are a fascia that directs air around the front of the vehicle, dual snorkel hood scoops that bring cooling air into the engine compartment and ducts that direct air to cool the brakes.
Sales will begin this spring at a price of $37,995".

I wonder what the gas mileage will be on this car. I would have to imagine that it would be around 15-18 actual. I just spent about $52 on my last tank which was a new record for me. The price was $3.959/gal.

Man...this "Gas" business is getting crazy.....Hit $119/barrel-oil today.....I guess Im lucky?? I paid $3.82 tonight ~ 93 octane~ Threw in a quick $25....just like that...I always try to keep it near full....At least the STi gets better mileage than the SRT8...

I love the look of it but for the pricing, I'd go elsewhere. Lots of money for a heavy car that won't handle that well.

I "feel" this Car is a cool Nostalgic Hot-Rod...meant more for straight line~ performance especially over 60~mph..eat my dust ...kinda stuff...I have read 2 articles where it said they were good for 165-170 mph top end with this SRT8 engine. I wouldn't push it hard thru the twisties...

cool looking. The body roll didn't look too terrible.

I'd take the Cherokee SRT8 over the Challenger. Supercharged SRT8's are ridiculous.
