Thats why I love my Z06 so much, the perfect balance of power, weight and handling ability. And it sips gas on the highway. I see 30MPG on the regular.

My SRT-8 actually does very well on the highway. In alot of ways it does better than the Subie. Its WAY more comfortable, full of luxury, and is absolutely huge inside. But, to get all that, you get that massive curb weight.
I drove it to Yosemite last weekend (3.5hrs on some very curvy roads, varied elevations) and admittedly missed my STI until I noticed the gas guage and my lack of lower back pain. The Charger did very well.
Oh, and the burnouts are real. You dont need to hold the brake at all. The car leaves rubber everywhere. Its pretty ridiculous.

I like it, in fact dodge has always been my top pick of the "big 4". However if they kill the viper off like I read reports they are planning to... any and all of my respect for dodge will be lost. But back on topic, anyone hear about this Super stock drag car dodge is supposedly looking at offering?

I love my STi...for what it's made for and "what it Can do".....I like the SRT8 for what it can do also (looks good too)~Go ~"Really Really" Fast"~ when one wishes. In a way this gas business (expensive) might help on getting a better buy for a CHALLENGER-SRT8 if one was in the market for one...Only if Your patient...who knows...

too heavy for my taste but it's a kick ass car. I'd still go for a vette anyday over any dodge though.

My brother in law promised he'd buy one. We'll see. Oh do I smell rubber already.

I would buy one if it weren't for used 996TT's costing the same...

I bet my STi gets worse mileage than that car and I can't even do a burnout!

If the 996TT had four doors and could haul Cub Scouts, I would have been all over it in a heartbeat. The wifey saw the SRT-8 and it was done immediatley.
I would have been in heaven with a Porsche in the garage..

Chargers are nice, but I was talking about the Challenger, which has 2 doors. I wish I could have all 3 in my garage (a 996TT, Challenger SRT8, and my STi)

That would be cool.^

I mention the Charger because alot of its guts are the same and I have one. I'll be test-driving the Challenger when it gets to our dealership to see if I want to trade in the Super Bee. Its got a backseat so...it could work out.

I'd rather have that 996TT though. SO gorgeous.

is this company blind... is any company blind when they make these huge engine cars that get like 12 mpg? I dont know whos going to pay for all that gas and stuff. I mean it just seems like they dont care about the whole situation with gas these days..Its though stupid hummers and 12-15 mpg cars that are taking up gas that we need to save so it doesn't keep rising as fast.

who knows

Vetts are nice...they are every where......But a nostalgic looking modern muscle~Car (weight & all) is still Plenty fast and would be a keeper....and a super-Charger add on would be a nice addition........But..with oil hitting $120/brl Today...Well ....I plan on keeping my special (different looking) AWD STI Fun machine, It"s keeper also.
