That was a great parody of the urban bike scene. Some of the high school kids in SoCal are now dressing like the San Fran/Seattle bike scene. They've got the fixie track bikes with the cut-down handlebars and no logos anywhere, tight skinny jeans and the eclectic style of dress. They ride from mom's house to the coffee house, to school, and back to mom's house. It just cracks me up!

funny vid. I'm actually building up a fixie style bike right now. Same look, just I want to have a freewheel so I can coast, and have a front brake. I like coasting, and don't really see the benefit of a fixed gear besides how cheap they are. They always say how its "more of a direct link to the drive, no power loss blah blah"....but so is a freewheel hub, I just don't have to constantly pedal! I love bikes!

Get a "flip-flop" rear hub and you can have it either way. Just remove and reverse rear wheel. Read the 3rd line on this page: Low Flange Hubs
