It looks like he was driving on the highway with his handbrake slightly or more engaged. I don't know what else could have generated that kind of heat! Just deadly!!

ive gotten my rotors red hot many a time, without a mechanical fault, i dont see how its 'deadly' unless you try and lick it.

probably adjusted something wrong, ive never delt with drum brakes before(im new age, give me a break) but i know they are quite complicated with springs and other tempermental parts.

Dumb*ss probably left the e-brake on while driving home. Had a few customers do that to some of my rentals, really impressive when they start pouring blue smoke from the rear drums.

hahaha, my buddies ex gf did that to his sr20det 240 when she was driving him home (he was drunk). I guess they got out of the car and his rear brakes were smoking and she was just like "opps, i forgot to release the parking brake". Well he isn't with her anymore... lol
