GM owned a 20% stake in Subaru. They sold less than half of that to Toyota (8.7% of Subaru).

Incorrect. GM liquidated it's share in Subaru in October 2005. A little less than half to Toyota, and the rest to a Fuji market buy-back program.

The Saab 92x wagon is almost identical to the WRX minus the hood scoop. Great move for Subaru because it was detuned a bit for Saab...
Incorrect on both counts. The 9-2X wagon certainly did have a hood scoop. And it was not detuned at all, it made exactly the same horsepower and torque of the same year WRX.

Quoted for truthe. GM sold thier shares when they lost that deal with Opel or Puegot (can't remember which) that year they lost $9,000,000,000. whichever year that was.

the sasb 9-2x aero had a hood scoop, the 9-2x did not. kind of like how an impresa RS doesnt and a WRX does.

I am a Chevy guy and that is just wrong....stealing another companies vehicle is just wrong. Ever since 02 Chevy has done nothing good, besides the C6 Z06.

Car companies have been swapping cars and their parts for years, this is nothing new. It's all about money and profit. Not many cars are what they say they are from where they say they are. Those exceptions being the STi(Japan), 350Z(Japan), and in some ways the C6 Z06(mostly American). And even they are composed of pieces or ideas from someone else. The fact is that to remain competitive it is hard for companines to stay true to their roots and have to go to the cheapest suppliers.
