I think you're on to something! The reason we have an aluminum hood is not because it's lighter... but because of the paint! Thank you Subaru!

Haha...I forgot to mention the weight savings lol. Not having a rusty hood though is pretty darn cool.

My favorite aspect of the hood is how I can amaze friends with how strong I am.

Once I "accidentally" dropped the hood on my hand just to get a rise out of a friend.

I like the fact that it flutters and flexes at speed, combined with the gear whine and the vibrating rear wing, and you've got yourself a real race car. (tongue firmly in cheek, but it does add to the aura)
