i heard the new 08's are going to have missile launchers.

seriosuly though there are huge rumors flying around about the 08 (entirely new, legacy platform, lots of other rumors). I'd say wait till the end of the 07 model and see whatsup.

of course by june they will hopefully have released the up and coming model at an autoshow so you can figure it out.

technically though, the 08 is going ot have stuff the 07 doesn't have. they'll make something better.

The spy shot in the new SCC mag sure looks like the 08 is a total redesign.

Two schools of thought on that
1) don't buy the first model year after a redesign, the bugs aren't worked out yet.
2) get the latest and greatest.

I know, that isn't much help, but from what I've seen, the 08 is a redesign which makes sense to keep up with evo X.

Well, it's a fact that '08 is going to be a re-design. We just don't know the details.

By next June, pictures and specs for the '08 re-design will be public, and you will be able to make your decision then. Waiting four more months for the '08 model will not be difficult.

You guys ever read autoweek? Go to http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dl...73264366271038 and see the 2008 STi photo and accompanying info. Scroll down from the EVO to the STi.

Peace,

Curtis

Do you ever read the fine print? That is an artists rendering-----nothing official whatsoever. No one knows what the '08 will look like, at the moment.

Damn. That didn't take as long as I thought it would.

Good eye, but, you killed the joke.

Peace,

Curtis PS: Yes, I read the fine print.

FWIW I always like to buy after the MMC. Most kinks are usually discovered and remedied by then. So if you buy an 07 now, in 4 years you can buy the post MMC new body style in 2011. You get a good car now, and a good car later on.

I bought my 05 STi at the end of 05. 06 models were 33,000 firm with 5.9% financing. Got my 05 for 29,900 and 2.9% financing. Big difference.

If the 08 looks like that, it had better be really, really fast, because that is the only reason someone would buy an ugly 4 door hatch.

I think that a hatchback STi will be the complete hotness I hope it comes.... I already got the 07 so there is no point in me being frustrated about it now.

I would only like to see a 2dr HB.

You should wait. By the time we get to see a 08 from Subaru next year, the 07 will still be available. Don't worry, just wait!
