Default Possible 08 powerplant....?

http://blogs.edmunds.com/Straightline/1429

I know it's a Legacy, but Subaru would not give the LGT more power than the STi......So, maybe they are testing a possible STi engine in the LGT body.....? And whatever the LGT gets we will get more

"Okay, as to rumors: There's been a pretty persistent rumor that the '08 Tribeca will get a 3.6L H6, but there's been no word of a turbo. Maybe the Legacy will also get the 3.6 too, and perhaps with turbo? There have also been some long-standing rumors of a twin-turbo (3.0 H-6?)"

Just rumors, but a 3.6T FTW!!!

That was one of the next gen WRX test mules. Only a couple of weeks later the WRX hatchback appeared testing with the same plates.

If that power plant does make it to the market with a decent 4 door body style, that would be about the time I will sell my 04.

They would have to do something huge in order to compete with the rumored powerplant of the new EVO. 400hp in the EVO sounds real nice, I hope Subaru steps up to the plant to stay in the competition. (even though if this happens both cars will probably be way more expensive than they currently are...)

I am good friends with the manager of the local subaru dealer up here, and he told me that when he went to Chicago for subaru training they were talking about an H6 TURBO B9 in 08

All I know is if the evo comes out with a 400hp powerplant, and the STi doesn't strike back, I will be very dissapointed!

you have to think about it though, the sti and evo arent really in the same ballpark anymore. The evo MR cost so much more.
