It`s still a mitsubishi even if it has 500 horses, tempting though.

IMO I do not think that Mitsu will release a 400 hp Evo. If they do I believe it will raise the price to around 45 grand. Because of course other parts of the car will have to be improved to comensate for the increased horsepower. Mitsu is in financial trouble in the United States, they cannot afford releasing such a car and taking the risk of having no market for it. Because let's face it, most people out there will not by a 45,000 dollar Evolution.

I hope Subaru comes out with something good, unlike Mitsubishi, they can afford to release a 40,000 dollar STi.
Because it's the "all American" sports car. It's beautiful and it goes fast as hell. It's one of the few things GM has done right in recent years. It's also a genuine sportscar from the ground up. The STi and EVO may be fast, but at the core they're still economy cars.

Loved my Vette, but up here at 5280 plus feet a N/A car really suffers. If I was at sea level maybe another Vette......?

Maybe mitsu wants their new evo to compete with the skyline if they raise to that price and that much hp. Its also not impossible for the sti to get a 6 cylinder. Didnt Cobb or somebody else shove a tribeca engine into an sti?

EVO/STi will always compete and be neck and neck in almost every category. If their is a hp/tq bump for the EVO, expect to see one from Subaru. Bump in price? Expect the same for the next STi.

I don't think they meant it's not physically possible, just not realistic.

There is no way Mitsu is going to try to put the Evo in the bracket of the Skyline.....ie: $80,000 cars.....are you kidding me? Even though the current horsepower for the Skyline is predicted at 450, I would not surprised at all if it rolls off the assembly line with 500. For 80 large, 450 HP is a bit outdated.

And STiSpeed, if you are a car enthusiast in any form whatsoever, I don't see how you can hate on the Corvette. If it's not your personal style, fine, that's your opinion, but no one can deny it's a great car.
