Default Interested in buying a STi...

Truly a tough choice between the STi and GT3 I think, but the price swayed it towards the one we like

"The STI is leading a revolution in the availability of performance automobiles for the masses. For this reason alone, it is the best car 2004."

Ya kinda unfair putting a $100k car in there... but *shrug* o well. Reminds me when the modded Porsche 911 showed up at the car show a while back, in our devision (imports) lol.. man that sucked, we all lost.

I mentioned that the Porsche was the best car (obviously) but that I voted for the Subaru based on performance with price, reliability, and practicality taken into consideration.

BTW, as for the show on speed channel, I liked Jay Leno's comments on the car... basically it's ugly but it looks good because of what it can do. That pretty much sums it up. I doubt most of us would drive a car that looks like this if it performed like a Toyota Prius.

I would have to say both you and Jay are 100% correct.

For those who watched it, Jay said that although he didnt favor the looks as much, he said that the power made up for it , knowing all the cars (and the JET turbine motorcycle) he has, thats really cool (EDIT: sorry lol, i didnt realize you had already put that in there radar). Also it was cool how the slalom was the same MPH as the porsche GT3, granted it did .4 better on the skid pad, we werent that far away from a 100k$ car's handling capability.

True, but I've seen the sti listed at .91g on the skidpad. Granted there are a lot of factors involved but I expected better than .88.

Default our sti's awd system vs the evo's

I commented that Subaru seems to positioning the STi for a somewhat older driver, which represents a huge, hitherto untapped, demographic. Why should a guy have to spend sixty to a hundred thousand bucks just because he has put on a few years?
