Here it is:
"Despite the savage facelift, Subaru is keen to point out that the really meaningful modifications are under the metal, with the most significant a more efficient turbo similar to the one used in the legendary Evolution VII. This newly fitted turbo has smaller turbines and works in conjunction with a revised exhaust system which divides boost pressure before feeding it evenly to both sides of the 2.0-litre flat-four engine. "

Then this:
"The extra stability comes from a significant redesign of the suspension and axles. Up front, the arrangement is moved 15mm forward to improve rigidity." (STi Spec C)

I wish SOA would put an end to all the rumor with an official statement. Two months left.

Ya know, I have been wondering. All the EVO fans say how great the EVO compared to the STi in comparisons. Actaully the ones I have read/seen rate them pretty close. Anyway are there any new reviews/comparoes with the new STi? The new imporvements I have read/heard about should make a big difference when comparing the new STi with the EVO.

I would sure hope that the new STi can equal or beat the Evo VII considering the Evo VII came out in January 2001. That's almost 2 years!

Well, it will be the Evo8 not 7 that we will get..but yeah I think the STi should be on par..especially if neither car has any electronic handling wizards. That was one of the things that helped the Evo out so much (AYC and ADC).

I don't mind that we won't get the DCCD, but the twin scroll and all the new stuff with the face-lift are much appreciated! Yeah, only 2 months left...argh! :x

It might end up being just Lancer Evolution. No numbers, at least in the US.

I'm with you, 91TB78. We can do without the DCCD, but the rest of the suff has to make it here.

Really? I haven't heard that. Well, whatever Mitsu wants to do.

Yeah, give us the bread and butter pieces that make the STi what it is..and I'll be happy as a clam!!!

Sure, wanting the DCCD and basing the purchase on whether the STi will be worth the money w/o it are two different things in my book. I think DCCD would be SUHWEET, but I won't cry if we don't get it...

Yeah I read it somewhere. It went something like people who didn't know would wonder/ask what happened to 1-7.

As for the DCCD, I too hope it makes it. I don't know if I would get it though. One thing I would like to have would be the HID's.

Well said, chawklit.

Let's keep it simple. To FHI and SOA:

We want everything. Or as Rock would say, "Just bring it."

I agree..don't know if I would want DCCD b/c of repair issues..maybe I'm justr scared of something I'm not too familiar with. but yes..I agree 110%..the HIDS would be a "must have."
