I still cant get over the front end on the 06+'s
I like that they're reducing the high profile of the car and I wouldn't mind black brembo's.

I guess because I am on the young side I like the "bling" factor the "regular" STi's have. Altough I will admit that it does look good and the interior additions *might* be nice. I wonder how much the sunroof weighs and if it will have a NAV system. Maybe my dad wants one

I want to see more pictures of the decklid. My decklid looks like it could be similar?

Overall, the exterior of the limited looks good.

I certainly would not want heated leather seats and a sunroof, but I'm sure that they will find enough people that will.

well that means at least that the v-limited lip spoiler will now be USDM = not so cool now! haha... well for one it would make it a little more affordable, that is if Subaru doesn't get crazy with marking it up to like 500 dollars (which they probably will)

If those are the same Enkeis that come on the JDM/EDM STi, they are not forged. I've been offered several sets of them in the past and they are MAT cast with hollow spokes. For those of you that say they are exactly the same as the BBS, look closer, they are not. The spoke profile and shape are different. They are "straighter" spokes than what we get and they are fluted differently. In case you didn't know, our stock BBS are the same wheels they put on the JDM Spec C with the 17" wheel option. We are the only ones in the world that get that wheel on a plain jane STi, more proof that our spec STi is closer to Spec C than we admit. I do consider the cast wheels a bit of a downgrade, but the STi Spec C Type RA from 04 and 05 had cast enkeis too.

Now THAT'S a sleeper. Looks like someone out there has been paying attention to what I've said many times before as to what direction wingless STi's should head towards.

I dunno, it looks OK and all... But IMHO, if you are going to make a special edition STI, you need to gear it more towards the performance aspect of the car, because performance is the heart and soul of the STI. I guess I am one of those guys who would like our cars to be wilder, not milder. Sure it attracts attention, but at my age I don't really care

Dang, still no pics from the rear. I want to know if I want that spoiler!

I wonder how "tamed" it really is. Still looks like it has RE070's; I wonder about the suspension?

Same here

Just when I have been thinking about having my decklid molded out of carbon fiber.

Now I need to wait for more pictures of the factory "limited" decklid.

Edit: I am also curious about the material the decklid is constructed from, steel or possibly aluminum?

But we have people on here every day talking about de-winging and stuff. There's a very legitimate market (especially in the US) for a toned down (but not tuned down) version of the STi. This is a very smart move on Subaru's part. They are testing the waters with the limited edition and perhaps it will be a mass produced trim level in future model years.

I'm totally with you on rather having a more performance orientated model, but I think SOA will cash in on more potential buyers who are turned away from the "roughness" of the STi.

Offering the V-Limited lip state-side is a great thing as that means that it will be available officially in the US so consumers won't have to worry about the nasty exchange rate and long wait times for lips that may or may not arrive in one piece.

Totally agree.

Mitsu has a premium package for the Evolution which adds virtually the same options, but does not carry the limited edition prestige. I don't see why it would not work for Subaru.

God damnit. I just bought an 06 S2000 too. I wont be able to swing a trade, This is what I have been hoping for. I hope this is a success, and more people like me want this, that way they will produce this in mass for the future, and i can get an STI like this in a couple of years. Very nice.
