Default Richard S. Chang for President

[edit - doh! wrong columnist - fixed now]

In the latest print issue of Autoweek (not on their website yet), he writes an entire column urging someone, anyone, to step up to the plate with Prodrive and build the P2. He makes a compelling case. If you haven't seen it, go buy it.

Here's my favorite bit:

Why? It’s the only concept that covers all the bases. Performance? Check. Power-to-weight ratio? Check. Handling? Check. Contemporary styling that pushes the envelope? Check. Cutting-edge, race-inspired technology? Check.

Best of all, P2 doesn’t feel compromised. It wasn’t market-researched or focus-grouped to death. It feels 100 percent inspired.
I agree with that 100 percent. It's one of the things I like about Subarus in general; to me it seems as though they put engineering and performance first, then worry about market demographics later. It may not sell the most cars but it makes the cars better. The Prodrive P2 is a perfect fit with that mindset.

Heck, SUBARU should build the thing.

I agree, Subaru should build it. Looks better than any of their other ugly concepts.

Yeah, Id have no problem with Peter Stevens designing performance cars for Subaru rather than Zapapotomus or whatever his name is.
