Default STi with a Flat-6 and GT35R, look

Has anyone checked the Febuary issue of Modified Mag? Go get it!

Perrin has put together a 2004-2006 STi very differently then anyone of us on this forum, or any forum at that.

They took out the 2.5L USDM STi engine and threw in the Tribecas 3.0L H-6 along with a GT35R Turbo, insane is a understatement. There is a crap load of parts in it, including Aquamist kit with Water and Alcohol Injection along with Hydra Engine management.
As of now its putting down ~550WHP, there still awaiting a Custom tune from PDX tuning, there easily expecting over 600WHP

Here is a preview of this issue, but def. go out and buy it!

The Spoon Sports Acura RL looks amazing. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

uhm, the mag said they *estimate* hp at 550, but it has yet to be dynoed.

make sure to read between the lines.

It does however have all the goodies to make that hp level even if they haven't gotten there yet.

If it's the same one (how many could there possibly be) there is also a little blurb about it in the latest Turbo magazine. Belongs to Perrin.

just to let you guys know, there was a car on NASIOC some time ago that had an NA flat six shoved in it by a guy in his garage. Granted it wasn't turbo'd or as pretty as the Perrin car, but I still think thats pretty cool.

I'll probably just browse it the next time I'm at Borders or Barnes & Noble. I can't part with the $5 for an issue of "Ricified Magazine." Definitely a nice setup though.

I think modified is one of the better mags out there. I also find it interesting that someone that drives a JAPANESE car uses the term "rice".

Really? The RL is on my shortlist of "next in line" cars for me... you throw the words "Spoon Sports" in there, and my reaction was Pavlovian, to say the very least.

Edit: Woah, those Volks sure are YELLOW!

Scott, formerly of Switzer Performance Innovations here in the Cleveland area, had the H6 in the drag car he was building, with twin GT35's I believe.

He was thinking 9's with the bottle spooling the turbos. F'in thing had a parachute

Wonder what the H6 does for the balance of the car? Curious to see how the extra weight id distributed and how it effect handling.

I don't believe it has ever been finished. Project on hold until career issues are cleared up was my understanding.
